The Campsite
FRANCAIS	This dedicated Classic Bike Campsite is in the Poitou-Charentes region of South-West France (Department 16). Charente offers a micro-climate with mild winters and long, hot summer days and evenings. The Classic Bike Campsite is ideal for a short break or “base” for touring and exploring this unspoilt region of France. Set within the grounds of a traditional Charentaise House, the four-acre campsite is very quiet, surrounded by woods and open countryside. There is ample room for parking your car/trailer/van and bike, and a secure, hard-standing covered area for bikes. Designated a “Camping a la Ferme” Holiday Site, a number of touring pitches have been allocated, but you should confirm availability before arriving. The site is laid mainly to grass, and the Toilet and Showers are private - not communal, as in many campsites. There is a large heated swimming pool with Bar-B-Q and terrace, to relax after a day’s riding. The site has a full-size gas cooker/oven, washing machine, pots, pans, cutlery and crockery, therefore, no need to load up your bike. Also on site, is a fully-equipped motorcycle Workshop - FREE to Guests - if servicing or repairs are necessary.
